The Washington Nationals are sending a message to All-Star shortstop CJ Abrams. According to a report from ESPN’s Jeff Passan and Jesse Rogers, the team demoted Abrams to the minor leagues after he stayed out all night at a Chicago-area casino and left just hours before the Nationals played a game against the Chicago Cubs on Friday.

Guerrero’s previous best came in 2021 when he was the runner-up for American League MVP.
This season, Guerrero is hitting .322/.396/.551 with 30 home runs and 99 RBIs. His batting average ranks second in the majors behind just Kansas City Royals superstar Bobby Witt Jr.
